Ear Training 1.1

A. Practice hearing and identifying the following musical elements (it is recommended that you practice with a partner or use an ear training program such as musictheory.net):
  • Major and all three forms of minor scales
  • Steps vs. skips

B. Dictate the following melody. Use these parameters to prepare your staff:

  • Treble clef
  • 4/4 time
  • Key signature: 1 sharp
  • Starting pitch: Quarter note on G4
  • Four measures
