Comprehensive Exam #1 (Multiple Choice Section)

This exam covers everything from chapters 1-4 in Tonal Harmony (with the exception of seventh chords in major and minor at the end of chapter 4). Please carefully review the study guide before taking this exam. This is a closed book, closed note exam. You may only use a scratch piece of staff paper and a pencil. ALL OTHER MATERIALS MUST BE OUT OF SIGHT. You may play the audio examples the number of times that it specifies. Playing the examples additional times is cheating. You will have 40 minutes to finish the exam and you may not retake it under any circumstances.

 

Because this exam constitutes 20% of your overall grade in the course, it is important that you are adequately prepared before proceeding.
