Speaking of technology, Elder David A. Bednar said, “The time has come for us as disciples of Christ to use these inspired tools appropriately and more effectively to testify of God the Eternal Father, His plan of happiness for His children, and His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Savior of the world; to proclaim the reality of the Restoration of the gospel in the latter days; and to accomplish the Lord’s work.” In this course, students will prepare to use technology to fulfill this invitation while learning how to avoid the pitfalls of modern technology use. Students will be encouraged not to fear technology, but to learn practical skills and be proactive in utilizing the guidance of the Spirit and the Atonement of Jesus Christ to appropriately use these tools for good throughout their life.
